FAQ

Q: How will you get in to my house?

A: There are a few options here. You can give MadTown Critter Care, Inc. a key to keep on file for future visits. You may leave a key hidden outside, but keep in mind once we leave the property we are not responsible for what happens to it after we leave. It is preferred if you purchase a supra to keep at your house for when you need our services again, we just ask that you provide us with the key code and location of the supra. An alternative to the key and supra is to provide us with a garage code, but also have a back up plan incase the garage does not open.

Q: Do I get my key back after the visits?

A: That is up to you. If you would like your key back we can leave it in a designated area at your house on the last visit, or establish a time when you are home that the key may be dropped off. There will be an additional fee of $10 to bring the key back to your house once the visits have been completed.

Q: Do I get to meet the sitter that will be doing the visits?

A: Yes, you will be able to meet one of the sitters. The sitter that will be doing the visits will try to be available for the initial meeting, but can not always be guaranteed.

Q: Is MadTown Critter Care, Inc. insured and bonded?

A: Yes, MadTown Critter Care, Inc. is insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Association, LLC. Liability insurance covers the client’s property where the pet sitting services is occurring during the home visits. Being bonded protects against theft for both the business and the client.

Q: Can friends and family also care for my pets and home with MadTown Critter Care, Inc.?

A: Yes, we will allow friends and family to share the sitting jobs. You will be required to sign a waiver that will release us of responsibility for any damaged or lost property, as we can not control actions of others.

Q: What if I have to cancel a visit?

A: We understand that things come up last minute. If you have to cancel a visit please let us know as soon as possible, so we can make arrangements. If a sitter arrives for a visit and you have arrived home early, or you cancel the day of the visit you will be charged for that visit. Visits cancelled within 24 hours of the visit will not be charged.

Q: What if my pet needs an injection or fluids for medical problems?

A: We have both had experience at previous jobs with giving injections and fluids to pets, and are capable of fulfilling these needs for your pet.

Q: What are your visiting hours?

A: We visit all day between 6:00am and 10:00pm. (In the event of an emergency feel free to call at any time, no matter how late it may be.) We will try to meet your time requests, but we can not promise any particular time. If it is for a medicated pet, exceptions may be made. We do have time slots in which visits are done. (In the event of an emergency feel free to call at any time, even if it is late night or early morning. We are available for emergencies 24 hours.)
